Welcome to Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley
Building a home is a task of imposing proportions
The requirements are rigorous and weighty. To think of it, to count the cost, to measure the effort, can be daunting. The big picture of home building can be too big to take in.
But what if you take a step forward and make the picture smaller? Go ahead, put your nose right up against the window and ask yourself what you see.
A hinge... a nail... a board... a footing... a frame... a wall... a window... a wire... a light switch... a door stop... a carpet nail... a hammer swinging... a cupboard hung... a bead of caulk... a flight of stairs... a day of work... a team of people... a family changed for a lifetime.
When you look closely, the task of building a home is, in truth, a splendid mosaic of small, measurable elements and efforts that come together in a big and beautiful way. When you look at it like that, everyone of us can be a home builder.
Please join us in building homes, changing families and transforming communities one house at a time.
