Habitat for Humanity is currently at work around the globe on nearly every continent, in more than 100 countries, with more than 2,100 active affiliates. Every one of those affiliates serves a specific and unique community. And Habitat’s work of providing simple, decent, affordable housing for deserving families in need is a community effort. With every house built, people from all walks of life, who would never otherwise know each other, are working side-by-side to break the demeaning cycle of poverty. Through this miraculous feat of cooperation, families are strengthened, children are better able to learn, neighborhoods are improved and every community becomes more united. |
